Dallas Smith

SVP, Commercial, Head of LNG & Alternative Fuels Liberian Registry (LISCR)

BIO

Dallas Smith is the Senior Vice President of Commercial and the Head of LNG and Alternative Fuels for the Liberian Registry (LISCR). He develops and executes LISCR’s vision, mission, planning, strategies, and tactics to achieve global business growth for the Registry. He oversees all commercial operations of LISCR’s global network of regional offices. In addition, he leads the Liberian Registry’s Global Gas Team; focusing on LNG, decarbonization and sustainability from technical design to delivery and while in operation (to include newbuildings of LNG-as-fuel powered ships, LNG bunker vessels, FLNGs, and LNG carriers) and alternative fuel technology and implementation.


Dallas joined the Liberian Registry after 20 years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG); during his final 6 years in the Coast Guard, he ran the Coast Guard’s Liquefied Gas Carrier National Center of Expertise, where he was responsible for executing the USCG’s entire liquefied gas safety, security, and environmental compliance mission around the world for gas carriers, LNG bunkering, LNG as a marine fuel, LNG terminals, and alternative fuels. He holds an M.B.A. with honors from Liberty University, B.S. degrees with honors in Technology Management and Organizational Leadership from University of Houston, and an A.A.S. in Electronic Engineering from Thomas Edison State College. Dallas is based out of Houston, Texas where he, his wife, and three children call home.
